The actors who are starring in the MBC’s Lights and Shadows bring lunch box to eat together once a week. After the fact of ‘lunch box day’ made public, it become a topic.
The production team of Lights and Shadows, including the main actors such as Ahn Jae Wook, senior and junior actors who involved in the filming on the day and crew members, bring lunch box to the shooting scene on the Sunday every week to eat together. The situation is in stark contract with normal scene on the set where actors eat alone in the standby room or settle the issue of eating at the nearly cafeteria.
It began under the lead of Ahn Jae Wook. Ahn Jae Wook revealed the reason of ‘lunch box day’ in an interview with eNews on late March 2012, “The senior actors particularly like it. Recently even if acting together, there is a lot of situations where they don’t eat together or talk with junior actors. After eating together, will cultivate the feelings.”
According to the crew of production team, when coming to ‘lunch box day,’ Ahn Jae Wook will call junior actors, confirming about going to market to buy food. The person said, “The weekly lunch box day makes actors become closer, the set is always filled with laughter. Ahn Jae Wook is in the center of such harmonious atmosphere.”
