It appeared that Can’t Live with Losing drama may still subject to the jinx of low rating of drama with law theme. The viewership rating of Can’t Live with Losing, starring Yoon Sang Hyun and Choi Ji Woo, has only managed to achieve a single digit rating on its premiere episode on Wednesday night of August 24, 2011.
According to AGB Nielson ratings research company, the average rating of Can’t Live with Losing is only 6.2% nationwide (Korea) and 6.8% in Seoul region. TNS Media puts the rating of Can’t Lose as 8.0% for Seoul area.
The rating only only slightly higher than 6.0% rating achieved by final episode of Heartstrings. The fascinating performance of Choi Ji Woo and Yoon Sang Hyun failed to change the result of ranking bottom.
Nevertheless, the performance of Choi Ji Woo and Yoon Sang Hyun in the drama is highly praised.
Both persons acts as a much admired lawyer couple in Can’t Live with Losing. They show affection in front of others but actually has lots of contradictions, marriage is broken, they seems like does not care about the marriage but is still very concerned about each other.
On the other hand, the dramas that are aired at the same time slot managed to continue to gain high ratings, albeit lower than last week’s episode, probably due to some audiences switch to MBC channel to view the new drama. SBS’s Protect the Boss rating is 16.3% while KBS2’s Princess’ Man continued to rank top with 18.6% nationwide rating.
