The Kapamilya network of Philippines, ABS-CBN will begin airing of popular Taiwanese TV drama series, The Fierce Wife, which is about infidelity, betrayal, and lust. The drama story asks what will you do if your husband falls in love with another woman?
The Philippines version of The Fierce Wife has a unique translation of characters’ name in the drama, as shown in the plot summary of The Fierce Wife which tells a story of a married couple Cristine (An Zhen) and Louie (Rui Fan). Since Cristine married to Louie ten years ago, she had been nothing short of the perfect wife to him, and the perfect mother to their five-year-old daughter.
Their lives will take a sudden turn when Me Ann (Wei En), Cristine’s cousin from the United States, arrived and lives with them for a while.
Little did Cristine know that the charming and seemingly naive Me Ann is starting to develop an attraction to Louie. The latter will fearlessly seduced her cousin’s husband right at their very home, and they have an affair. He becomes selfish and cold-hearted, and files for divorce.
Cristine is devastated and begs Louie not to, but he forces Cristine to sign the divorce papers while Cristine lies in the hospital, injured from an accident, by promising her the house and half his pay as compensation.
Cristine looks for a job and meets Timmy (Tian Wei), her boss whom she nicknamed Cauliflower because of his hair. He falls in love with her, and in the process revitalizes her spirit.
Meanwhile, Louie loses his job as he deals with the mentally ill Me-ann, who eventually leaves him for she is no longer attracted to him when he has nothing.
Louie tries to get back with Cristine. He tells her how he wishes that he could go back to the ordinary days they had, where he played with their daughter while she made dinner. He is willing to exchange the rest of his life for this one ordinary day.
Tenderly she touches his tear-stained cheeks and tells him, ‘But I can’t go back anymore.’
The Fierce Wife airs on weekdays from 04:15 pm to 05:15 pm on ABS-CBN channel.
