The Sun and the Moon Earnest Love Line Up Viewers’ Anticipation

Although has just aired 2 episodes, MBC Wednesday and Thursday drama series The Moon that Embraces the Sun (The Sun and the Moon) is attracting the attention of viewers, and its love lines will be in full blown.

In the episode 3 of The Moon that Embraces the Sun broadcast on January 11th, 2012, the feelings of crown prince Lee Hwon (Yeo Jin Goo) and Yeon Woo (Kim Yoo Jung) for each other no longer concealable, and their love will be officially started. Lee Hwon and half-brother Myung Ming (Lee Min Ho) together with Yeon Woo will stage a fated triangular relationship, and the tragedy for the family of Yeon Woo is revealed.

At the same time, child actors who created the “moon syndrome,” will realistically portray the exciting first love and feeling of pain and regret for not getting the love. Crews on the scene said that, “the emotional scenes of the dedicated child actors let people feel even stronger feeling, and even more rendering power, any guidance on acting is unnecessary.”

The cast for adult Yeon Woo, Han Ga In, praised the acting of the cast for young Lee Hwon, Yeo Jin Goo, during interview, saying that he successfully interpreted the character and story with full of wit and humor, to the degree that it can move people. She also said, “These young kids endure the cold weather, and between them there is also brotherly understanding that is why the story is interpreted perfectly.”

Particularly on a program broadcast on local TV station on January 11th, 2012, director Kim Do Hoon is hailed as director with “detail control” style, so the interpretation of child actors are completely consistent with the plot. The drama seizes the audience’s anticipation right from the beginning with th most magnificent watching points.

During shooting there is always some that is good and some that is not. For the exorcism ritual dancing scene where Yeon Woo meets with Hwon, the scene was shot into the wee hours, for a total of 12 hours. The temporary actors employed in that scene alone totaled 250 people, additionally, 26 professional dancers from dancing troupe was used for the dance that confirms the feelings of Yeon Woo and Hwon to each other, and furthermore, 2 months was used for choreography and dance practicing. To express the ominous shadow that enveloped over Yeon Woo, the CG (Computer Graphic) team also waited at the scene.

The excellent performance of child actors, and quality directing to the fine details by director, is increasing the interest on the eve of the broadcast of 3rd episode of The Moon that Embraces the Sun.
