The popular MBC TV series The Moon Embracing the Sun (TMETS) rang down the curtain on March 15th, 2012. In the last episode, Yeon Woo (Han Ga In) recovers her position as the queen, the king Lee Hwon (Kim Soo Hyun) also specially prepares a gayageum (traditional Korean zither-like string instrument) evening for her, the romantic plot touched a lot of viewers.
Lee Hwong brings Yeon Woo into Hidden Moon Court and said, “Congratulation on your reborn, I prepare a concert for the queen, although the strength is not up to par, but still hope that you can listen to it.” And then he starts to play the gayageum in front of Yeon Woo. In the middle of the performance, Lee Hwon’s hand is hurt by the string, and has to stop his hand movement, but the sound of the musical instrument is still continuing. In addition, in the last episode of The Moon that Embraces the Sun, Yang Myung (Jung Il Woo), Bo Kyung (Kim Min Seo), shaman Jang Nok Young (Jun Mi Sun) all become the political victim, died at the end, provoking audience to tears.
