Actors Han Ga In and Kim Bum were selected as the special ambassador of the Korean Committee for UNICEF.
On the morning of the April 6th, 2012, UNICEF announced that Han Ga In and Kim Bum were selected as special publicity ambassador. They will participate in the appointment ceremony held at 2pm on the afternoon of April 9th, 2012.
United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is a unit under United Nations which provides long-term humanitarian and developmental assistance to children and mothers in developing countries, regardless of differences in nation, philosophy, and religious. Formerly known as the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Relief Fund, it was originally set up to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II.
In South Korea, the movie stars who used to serve as UNICEF ambassador include Ahn Sung Ki, Kim Rae Won, Lee Min Jung, Kim Jung Tae and others.
