Kim Soo Hyun Tears Drove Peak Real Time Ratings to Hit 46%

MBC TV drama The Moon that Embraces the Sun ratings successfully breakthrough 40% mark on its episode 16, becoming another TV series that managed to achieve 40% ratings on national basis after 2010 TV series Kim of Baking, Kim Takgu.

In episode 16, it’s worth mentioning about the scene when Lee Hwon (played by Kim Soo Hyun) discovers that shaman Wol (played by Han Ga In) is in fact the woman he has been longing for, Yeon Woo (played by Kim Yoo Jung), Lee Hwon who is the king no longer able to restraint his emotions, and cries out loudly. The scene has touched the audience, and the real-time ratings for the scene even surged to 46%.

According to data released by ABG Nielson on February 24th, 2012, the episode 16 of The Moon Embracing the Sun broadcast on February 23rd, 2012 achieved the rating of 41.3%, with peak rating hits the high of 46%.
