Rooftop Prince Regains 2nd Spot in Fierce Wed-Thurs Drama Ratings Contest

The battle of Wednesday and Thursday drama series between 3 major South Korean TV station intensified.

According to survey conducted by AGB Nielson media research company, the KBS’s “Man From the Equator“, SBS’s “Rooftop Prince” and MBC’s “The King 2 Hearts” broadcasted on April 26th, 2012 achieved the national average ratings of 15.2%, 11.3%, and 10.7% respectively.

“Man From the Equator” broke its own highest ratings record again, and the “Rooftop Prince” which once slipped into the last episode also rose nearly 1% to overtake “The King 2 Hearts” starring Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won, returning to second place. “The King 2 Hearts” unfortunately once again ranked third.

The constant change in ranking between the three TV series also makes the battle of Wednesday and Thursday drama increasingly intense. “Man From the Equator” constantly breaks its own highest ratings record, while “Rooftop Prince” and “The King 2 Hearts” are fighting fiercely for 2nd position. Although “Man From the Equator” is currently sitting tightly on the first position, but it should not taken rivals lightly, as the gap between the champion and 2nd or 3rd place is just about 4%, the later two drama series still can mount a comeback.

Whether it’s “Man From the Equator” who gets the last laugh, or “Rooftop Prince” or “The King 2 Hearts” stages a late counterattack, the final result is well worth the wait.
