In the first few episodes of Poseidon, the two popular idols, Super Junior’s Choi Siwon and TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho who are of different band but from the same agency, are battling it out as actor, not singer. The acting battle is possible due to special cameo appearance of Yun Ho in the drama.
In a scene on the drama, lieutenant Kang Eun Cheol (played by U-Know Yunho), who was antagonist of sergeant Kim Seon Woo, both of the maritime police’s special task force played out a charismatic action scene when the two were locked in a fierce war of nerves with each other. The two singers’ acting battle ended with Choi Siwon’s victory.
Netizens who watced the drama have voted for Choi Siwon to be a better actor as they left comments such as, “It was all great but I can’t seem to focus on U-Know Yunho’s acting”, “I can’t understand some of U-Know Yunho’s lines”, and “May be it’s because Choi Siwon has already used to perform action scenes in ‘Athena’ before, and as such he was better than U-Know Yunho.”
